The licence you operate under is a General User Radio Licence (GURL). This means you can transmit without the need to get a licence in your own name, or pay licence fees.
You share the radio channels with all other people who are using their PRS radios at the same time as you so be mindful and kind.
Channels 1-8 Are designated Duplex Channels and depending on your location and if there is a Public Repeater you will get a lot more signal distance than Simplex (line of sight).
Channel 24 is a call channel for NZ motor home and caravan clubs traveling throughout New Zealand.
